Viva Las Vegas :)

So wednesday we headed down to vegas for the lawn & garden show for the mill, it was such a fun trip! i wish we had more time down there to enjoy our room.... but here is the BEAUTIFUL sunset that we got to see on the way down......
Once we got down to vegas we went to the counter to check in to our room, were were staying at the Rio which is part of the total rewards system (aka ryan's players card). and when he gave the concierge his ID to check in it pulled up his players information. and because of this they were upgrading our room..... to a 1600 sq foot masterpeice. :)

so needless to say...... our room was SUITE!! (haha get it; sweet-suite) anyway it was awesome, and i wish we had more time to enjoy our AMAZING view (see below) haha.
anway the show was way fun........ here's some more pictures from our trip....
before the show....

this booth had all kinds of statues.... from a velociraptor...

to a giant ape......

oh... and our toilet had a phone next to it..... just incase you needed to order room service i guess?
we were SO tired!!
headed home...

eeeek

so i just noticed I'm being lazy about writing on our cute lil' blog.
but whatever, nothing new there :)

anyway life around the frandsen household has been a tiny bit insane. were go go go constantly and i dont know if we will every slow down.... but being so busy and stressed has really shown me how lucky i am to have my amazing husband- even if we don't have the best patience with eachother all the time.

were really missing jake & mckaylee, theyre in ohio while jake does his residency in pharmacy, I know its funny to say and even though we didn't see them that often it was still nice to have great friends that we could call and have dinner and catch up. it stinks that we don't get to see them....... and we miss them a whole stinkin' lot

We went to vegas for my birthday and it was really fun, we got to go to terry fator- and it was probably one of the best shows ever; we really enjoyed it.

not really much else has happened- ryan is really busy at work- he seriously works so hard and puts his heart and soul into everything he does at the mill. im so lucky to have such and amazing husband to be able to look up to.

well it's time to start dinner,

'til next time..

Frandsen Family Reunion

So yes, I have been neglecting my blog. And I really do have a pretty good excuse; SCHOOL. I know what you're thinking, why in the world would you take 17 credit hours in the summer? and I don't really have an answer........ but on to the reason for this post.

The Frandsen Family Reunion this year was a whole lot of fun. It was my first time to this reunion and i had the best time!! It was fun to meet all of the cousins I didn't know, and to see all the ones that I did. I had the best time with the younger kids, I think i spent more time playing with them than talking to everyone else.....  (sorry about that!!! :) anyway I loved it. And I want to say thanks to everyone that let me steal their children away from them... even if it was for just a little while. :)
I especially loved Jill's girls Jane and Kate. They are probably the cutest girls ever. Kate was definitely more outgoing, she came right up to me and started talking about her taking piano and sewing and how she remembered my bridal shower. Jane took a little while longer to warm up to me, but once she did she was hilarious. They made me feel so special, every second they could- they were attached to my side. It was so fun, and I had an amazing time with those girls, and I was so sad to see them leave. And i will admit, I miss their cute laughs and funny faces.....so Jill, you need to bring them to visit more!! :)
It was fun to hear grandma and grandpa's story about the day they got married. I love hearing about such happy times and hearing stories i have never heard before! I thought it was especially cute when all the little girls got to go decorate grandma in her wedding dress ( made out of toilet paper, of course). I hope one day that ryan and i can have an amazing family of our own like grandma and grandpa do!

We got to play way fun games, and our team won red rover!! It was a blast to spend time with everyone and I really can't wait for next year!!!!

well, we're off to vegas for my birthday....
Bellagio buffet, and terry fador here we come!!! :)

We are...

TIRED.
exhausted really, I don't know how I can even think of moving from bed at all today, poor ryan had to, he has work-afterall. Luckily I can do my homework from my bed, all 6 hours of it I have today. I'm not sure that we have been this tired since we got married, life is crazy, we hardly have a few minutes to breathe before going to sleep. and just knowing all of the things i have to get done today- i am more tired than before i went to bed last night. I think it has to do with all the things we have going on, weddings, birthdays, kids, graduations, hospitals, ect.

OVERWHELMED
obviously we have a whole lot on our plate. I have 17 credit hours this semester (i'm insane- you don't have to tell me twice) and ryan is in the middle of something, that is changing every plan we have made since getting married. On top of that we are trying to figure out how to live with each other, somedays it's perfect and everything just flows and we don't have to even worry about who will do what. Other days, we have to ask the big guy upstairs for a little extra help getting through the day. Being newlyweds is hard, extremely hard. You have to re-learn everything you have ever known about living and start doing things differently than you used to. It is hard enough with all of the above- but just because ryan and i cant do anything the easy way, we've also got my 6yr old brother and 14 yr old sister living with us, only for another week and a half but still. I'm counting down the days.

GRATEFUL
I don't want to sound ungrateful, and I know Heavenly Father wouldn't give us more than we could handle, but i cant help but think sometimes.."I really hope you are showing us our limits, cause if this is just a preview......" We are truly grateful for the amount of support we have, and the amazing family that we have. We are grateful that I can attend school without working full time, and that Ryan has the most amazing job he could ever hope for. We are grateful for those nights of peace and quiet that we get every once in a while, and trust me i know how lucky we are to have those. I personally, am grateful for Ryan, he is the strongest person I know. He always puts my happiness before his and he is an amazing example for me, and I know when we do have children.. He will be an amazing father and example for them as well. I can't say how we have been able to deal with everything in our first few months of marriage but I know that Ryan and I are together for a reason, and  I don't think I could have ever done any of this without him.

Nephews are the greatest.

So I love kids, I make this no secret. I am so excited for the days when my house is full of kids....but I am definitely not ready for that just yet.....and Ryan makes it known he wants nothing to do with that just yet.
Anyway our nephews are up from saint George for the weekend for kayli's graduation and it is so much fun when they come to visit. Not only does my little brother have some very cute friends to play with- but I get to show Ryan how not horrible kids are.
So today Ryan, darin, kelly, and Kayli went golfing so I brought my brother over to play. We spent some time on the swings in the backyard.. because as beau would say "Gama and gampa swings are the best". Then played hide and seek which my darling little brother had to say-"kota I like you more not sick, you're more fun". Geeze, thanks Landon. Jace of course wanted in on the fun of hide and seek but he got sidetracked by kathy watering her flowers, and by the super awesome sandbox by the play house. Finally they decided it was too windy outside and now they are playing in the basement.
I really do love when they come up, they are the sweetest little boys and darin and trudy have done such an amazing job raising them. Everytime they come up its fun to see how much they are growing up, how hilarious their personalities are, and how fast jace has gone from crawling to running after the bigger boys.
Im totally convinced I have the greatest family ever. (:
Anyway were headed up the mountain tomorrow.... I am SO EXCITED!!!!!
Hopefully it will be good enough weather that we get to enjoy ourselves!!

ducks. :)

my puppy is the cutest.... :)
so yesterday was our first trip up the mountain this summer, the last time was before we got married in february and we went snowmobiling.
anyways the mountain is a huge part of ryan & i's life. we literally live there in the summer and find any excuse to go up.
well last night i had a cooler packed with roast beef, some fruit and amazingly yummy brownies. :) so we grabbed the dog and drove up the mountain. we got up to spring hill and boy, was it freezing. the wind was blowing super hard and it was super cold. But that wasn't going to stop pugsy from exploring.
so while ryan and i were eating our very yummy sandwhiches pugsy caught glimpse of some ducks landing into the lake we were parked in front of. as soon as he saw them he looked at us, ryan said "pugsy....." and that was is it.... he took off towards the lake and jumped in and started swimming towards the ducks..
this caused ryan to start yelling for him to come back, because up until that moment we didn't even know if he could swim.
anyway we had a freezing cold, soaking wet, muddy dog, that refused to sit anywhere but on our laps. but he is so cute, and we love him anyways. :)

he was so tired!!!

i love my little family, it really doesn't get any better than this :)
